State & Territory Quarters

The 50 State Quarter program ran from 1999-2008 with an additional six coins added in 2009 for DC and the five U.S. Territories. Very popular amongst collectors, the series invigorated the coin collecting hobby.
States were commemorated in the order they entered into statehood. They are made of .750 copper and .250 nickel. Proof coins were issued in copper-nickel as well as 90% silver.
